I
The turning point of the world
Unstill it revolves with each breath
First concave and then convex
Or extended as if by circumflex
Coming more fully alive with each
Outward heave of the chest
II
Short or long
Through spine and neck
Staying true to form
Staying true to form
In taking each breath
Hollow but straight
Down the middle as
The Dao proclaims
Like a reed or a flute
Sweet music arises
As the wind passes
Through us from
End to end
