Poem Written on the Bus

Crazy as it seems
Lately the things I most want
Become what I least need
The craving and attachment
To papery things that
Light up my entire
Sense of being
Like one of those
Midnight lanterns
Ignited into a rapturous flight
Of revelation and destruction
